- Jenny O'Neill
Major areas of strength include: health informatics project management, business development, business planning and relationship management. Specific domain expertise in detailed design of software systems for late phase research, chronic disease management, clinical system interoperability, acute care clinical and administrative systems for operating theatres, health system billing and claiming, cancer care, hospital departmental scheduling and patient administration.
Additional skills include: technology marketing, implementation, benefits evaluations and managing consensus-based, industry-wide ehealth standards development projects. Former roles include New South Wales based National Manager, eBusiness Development Manager for a global pharmaceutical company, Manager Healthcare Solutions Development for start-up THELMA and National E-Commerce Project Manager for the Australian Private Hospitals and Australian Health Insurance Associations.
Jenny has an Honours degree in Science (Psychology) and a Masters in Public Health. She is a member of the Health Informatics Society of Australia (HISA) and has been in the past member of various Standards Australia Health Informatics Committee including former Chair of the Billing and Claiming sub-committee and Commonwealth delegate to the United Nations electronic health data standards committee. She is an elected representative to the Board of the Medical Software Industry Association, MSIA representative on the National Prescribing Service Study Guidance Group into quality electronic prescribing decision support and MSIA representaive on the AIHW eHealth & Statistics working party.
Jenny wrote the requirements specification for the EpiSoft system and designed the user interface. She continues to work on all aspects of user interface design and requirements for system enhancements for existing and new communities.
- Michael Hurse
Major areas of strength include: futurist thinking and trnaslation into business practice, critical analysis of business issues; decision support systems; understanding of human factors in IT design. Specific applied stregnths in health industry analysis and niche exploration, design and delivery of systems for chronic disease self-management, population health management, clinical system data extraction, indigenous health management including experimental funding models such as regional fund holding, and evidence-based marketing.
Additional strengths include: facilitating collaboration across diverse groups; strong networking skills, customer engagement and satisfaction. A creative visionary, with the ability to define problems involving people processes and tools then generate and develop solutions at any level of business need. Former roles include National Manager, eBusiness Development for a glocal pharmaceutical company and National Support Manager for a global pharmaceutical company in which role he received five awards for excellence in three years.
In recognition of his contribution to health It, Michael was invited in 2003 to become a Board member of the Health Informatics Society of Australia (Queensland branch) where he continues to be an active member of the Board. He is a recent past member of the national board of HISA (Queensland delegate).
Michael designed the database for the EpiSoft system and continues to work on all aspects of development of the system including database enhancements, business logic, front-end coding and reporting.
- Christopher Laffey
Chris is a member of the Australian Institute of Management and Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He is a Director on several company Boards including EpiSoft.
- Gavin Bennett
Gavin has 10 years in software development and business intelligence solutions, including 8 years' experience in various versions of MS SQL Server, 7 years programming using .NET/C#, 10 years in Crystal Enterprise, Crystal Analysis and Crystal Reports, 7 years in Business Objects Analysis and 7 years in Business Objects Enterprise.
Major areas of strength include: software development and database performance optimisation using Oracle and MS SQL Server platforms, business intelligence solutions, data warehousing, application design and development and systems integration using web services and MS BizTalk.
Past roles have included lead software developer and senior consultant in numerous industry verticals including finance and investments, government, hospitality, entertainment and travel, and health. He has experience designing and developing large-scale consumer systems for the Internet and mobile technologies including development of websites for mobile devices and integration of web and Interactive Video Voice Response technologies.
